State of Women in Indonesia
According to a 2017 Indonesian Statistics (BPS) Report, women receive an estimated of 30% lower wages than men and educational level is far lower than men in rural areas, making them more vulnerable than in urban areas.
According to 2020 Global Gender Gap Index , although there’s been improvements on Indonesia’s gender gap, the country still holds wide gap in labor market where only 54.3 percent of Indonesian women are participating in the labor market compared to 83.9 percent of men. If we start practicing inclusivity for employment, there is a huge potential for Indonesia’s economic growth. This is why we are here.
Our Impacts
Du Anyam’s aims to support women of rural areas while embracing the culture and traditions from rural areas. As weaving becomes a strong culture to those in Flores and Kalimantan, it encompasses women across the regions and provide the right education to the children.

East Bali Cashews have not only supported women in Bali, but those in Flores. They have also provided training programs in Flores to build the skills and capacity needed to provide quality products to consumers.

Liberty Society aims to empower women through providing the right skills in building their products. They have workshops across Cisarua, Batam and Serpong to facilitate sustainable products while providing the necessary skills for the women.
