In 2018, Art Box PHM was founded by a group of refugee artist in hopes of creating more opportunities for artists of different cultures origins in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
The main purpose is to help refugee artists use their artistic skills as a way for them to earn income, exposure, and networking opportunities.

Ever since I got in touch with art, I knew it was going to change my life.
Every time I paint, I feel myself getting pulled into a new adventure of an unknown forest. For me, art is more than just a hobby: it is my life.
About the Artist:
Zahra Karimi
Age : 12
Nationality : Afghanistan
Having lived in a village before, it was difficult for Zahra to get access to painting materials and teachers. Although she was very passionate about art and painting from a young age, her circumstances made it more difficult for her to flourish. As she moves to Malaysia and met Art Box PHM, she is now able to express herself fully through paintings and arts.
