The Story

When coming up with my dissertation topic, I've realised that Indonesia has a critical waste problem with little to none waste management system. During my research I learned about Precious Plastic and started to make furniture from recycled plastic sheets. Precious Plastic is a community of makers who create recycled and upcycled plastic goods from the machines that was made and developed by the Precious Plastic creator. I've always wanted to educate people more about sustainable living, and being smart about our plastic consumption. Thus, I came up with this business idea to overcome Jakarta's plastic pollution, hoping to later minimise Indonesia's plastic pollution with the help from other Precious Plastic makers in this country. Apart from upcycled plastic goods, I've been making bags made from used banners as well as from excess yarn. Fast fashion waste is another big polluter in this country. Artisanal bags and jewellery is just the beginning for this brand, more exciting products are yet to come!
